Biography
Originally from Belgium, Nancy moved to Nova Scotia, Canada in 2008. She lives with her husband and three children in beautiful Hammonds Plains and runs a private clinic where she works with a wide range of clients.
Nancy first studied classical music and in 1989 also obtained a teachers degree (with honors) with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development and Education. Nancy developed her career internationally in a variety of educational settings in Belgium, England and Switzerland. She was involved in toddler groups, taught preschools, primary classes and taught music and movement in elementary years. Over the years Nancy certified in a variety of approaches such as HANDLE®, Irlen®, DIRFloortime®, The Listening Program® and took courses in reflex integration. She also studied "Leaders in Learning" at Harvard. She now works as a Neurodevelopmental Educational Therapist in private practice and also teaches a wide variety of courses such as the HANDLE level 1 & 2, Early Childhood Development courses, custom made presentations, does conference talks and coaches parents of kids with autism to optimize communication through play. |
